Important
As of March 2025, the tool formerly known as Multi-user account access is now called Team access. Delegators are now referred to as account owners and delegatees are referred to as team members. Team access will still offer all the account delegation features as before, but will also include product improvements such as permissions grouping.
As the account owner, you can give team members limited access to your account and assign them specific tasks, such as listing items for sale or managing discounts. You can also choose to give broad account access by granting full access, which allows team members to carry out most duties within your account, while still keeping sensitive information inaccessible.
Go to Team access - opens in new window or tab
How to add a team member
To enable Team access, you'll first need to be opted in to Seller Hub. This is where team members can access parts of your account and help with tasks.
You can grant access to your account by sending an invitation to another eBay user from the Team access - opens in new window or tab page in My eBay.
If the person you want to add to your team doesn't have an eBay account yet, they'll need to create one first. They'll also need to enable two-step verification.
To add someone to your team:
- Select the Get started button on the Team access informational page, if it's your first time adding a member), or Add team member on the Team access dashboard, if you've already added members to your team.
- Enter the first and last name and email address of the user you'd like to add. You can also include an optional message.
- Choose what level of account access you want to give them.
- Full access, which means they have broad access to your Seller Hub.
- Team members with full access can view performance metrics, list items, manage orders, run promotions, message customers, resolve disputes, grant refunds, and more
- They do not have access to personal, business, or bank information, nor do they have access to account administration or advanced settings
- Limited access, which allows you to hand-pick the permissions they will have, so they can carry out specific tasks (e.g. running promotions) while restricting their access to the rest of your account
- Giving a team member all the available permissions under limited access is not the same as giving them full access. Full access gives more broad access to your account than limited access can provide.
- Full access, which means they have broad access to your Seller Hub.
Once you've selected tasks for a new team member to perform, you'll review their permissions before sending the invite. Team member invitations expire after 96 hours, after which the user will need to be sent another invitation. If they accept the invite, they'll appear on your team dashboard, and you'll be able to view their activity in the Team activity page.
Assigning tasks to team members with limited access
You'll need to select which parts of Seller Hub you want team members with limited access to be able to access. You can choose entire permissions groups, or individual permissions found in the permission groups.
To assign individual permissions, open the drop-down list of permissions under each permission group and choose them individually. You can also edit a team member’s access level or permissions after they’ve joined the team from your dashboard.
Account owners can choose from the following permissions:
Orders
This permission group is related to fulfilling orders to your buyers and ensuring that they're satisfied with their purchase. Team members with all permissions in this grouping can view, track, and manage orders, download an order report, print shipping labels, and add tracking info to in-process orders. It also allows access to manage buyer disputes and refunds. It includes the following individual permissions:
- View orders
- Access to the Orders section of your Seller Hub, where team members can review details of customer orders
- Download order report
- Team members can download a report of past orders. (This permission does not give access to the Reports section of Seller Hub)
- Add shipping tracking
- Allows team members to edit open orders to add shipping tracking information

Note that some permissions are dependent on others. For example, to be able to print shipping labels, a user also needs to also have permission to add shipping tracking.
Managing team access to your account
You can manage your team members’ access from the Team access dashboard - opens in new window or tab in My eBay.
From this page you can do the following:
- View and manage a list of team members, their statuses, and what level of access and permissions they have to your account
- View accounts you've sent invitations to
- Invitations that haven't been accepted will show as pending and will expire after 24 hours
- Revoke access
- Change a team member's access or permissions
Tip
There is no limit to the number of users that can be granted access to your account.
Viewing your account activity logs
Once you've granted access to team members, you can view detailed activity logs on any actions taken.
Here's how to view activity logs:
- Go to My eBay and select Account.
- Under Account Preferences, select Team access.
- Select Team activity.
You'll see a detailed log of each action performed on behalf of your account, including dates and times and which account completed the task.
How team members can switch accounts
When you grant access to team members, they can access your account on their own Team access dashboard. Once they’ve accessed your account, they'll see a banner in Seller Hub letting them know which account they're acting on behalf of.
If they need to switch to another account that has added them as a team member, they can select Switch account in the banner.
They can also switch accounts in My eBay. Here's how:
- Go to My eBay and select Account.
- Under Account Preferences, select Team access.
- Select Access account.
