Well-made mid-size mid-price daysack
1 personnes sur 1 ont trouvé cet avis utile I've bought about 6 of these over the last decade because they are reliable and don't fall apart in use. However, each season their design changes slightly, and past season models are still around, so there are lots of variations for even the same 25L size in the Berghaus Twentyfourseven range. This one omits the Y-shaped "flow system" found on all past and some current models - there is now just a padded rectangle covering most of the back area. This model also omits the secondary zipped compartment found on every previous model. The zip to the main compartment is also not covered by a flap anymore, making it less showerproof. These are significant losses, I think. Positive changes include the half size front zipped compartment moving from the front middle to the front top. This means there is now always free space to use it - before, when the bottom half of the daysack was tight full, there was often no free space left to use the front pocket. Also better are the two side pockets - the mesh has gone (it is now solid material) and the elasticated top edge is stronger. The velcro straps at the top of each side are also much better at holding accessories or poles than the cords on earlier models. This model has a removable chest strap (rather than a waist strap) which probably the better choice for a 25L sack.

Hardest thing to find is a good mouse mat!
The foam used in this one is too rigid and lightweight for the mat to sit flat (the corners rise up) or for it to stay in one place when in use.

The same battery brand used by the manufacturer
When opening up the Acorn 120 stairlift I was surprised to find the manufacturer-fitted battery was the same brand as this one. It was not 100% physically compatible though, the terminals on the supplied batteries were wider than on those fitted by the manufacturer, requiring some careful widening of the lift's slide-on spade--shaped wiring connectors.
