"Sonic Generations" for the Microsoft Xbox 360 console is the 20th anniversary video game release of the "Sonic the Hedgehog" series. This series is from developers Sonic Team and Dimps. The game is a platformer playable in single player and multiplayer modes. In the game, players control Sonic the Hedgehog. As Sonic, you will solve puzzles and navigate through various stages of the game. Those include Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Speed Highway, City Escape, and Planet Wisp. Users can take advantage of the versatile option of playing in Classic-Sonic mode. Change over to Modern-Sonic format for an even better look at the world of the blue hedgehog. Sonic Generations for the Microsoft Xbox 360 console capitalizes on the many changes that the series has seen. There is the Classic version, which uses the 2-D side scroller approach, like the first games in the franchise. The Modern version has a 3D platformer style, like the "Sonic Adventure" games and their follow ups. You make progress in the story and complete optional challenges. Along the way, you can upgrade and expand your array of skills as both Modern- and Classic-Sonic. The storyline is based on time. A monster that can create holes in time sends our hero and his friends back in time to the pre-modern era. Modern-Sonic and his companions team up with Classic-Sonic and other pals. Together they take on the union of Modern-Eggman and Classic-Eggman. The two villains are trying to sow chaos by manipulating time. That's the root of how the two eras can overlap. It lets the team mix old villains, like Metal Sonic, in with new bosses. It even includes a cameo of Super Sonic. The presentation banks on nostalgia. The music contains many classic themes, both old and remixed. It is done to invoke the player's memories of the older games in the series. The locations work the same way. There are appearances from stages dating back to the first games. "Sonic Generations" was released on November 1, 2011. It is rated E for Everyone, so its content is geared towards gaming enthusiasts of all ages. Cartoon violence is present on this title.     Item arrived fast and in excellent condition, but had a weird smell to it. I messaged the seller to see if it was from a smoke free or pet free home and was told it was from a pet friendly home. I told seller they might want to list “from a pet friendly home” in the description of any current and future listings, as this was not posted for the item I purchased. Not sure if this advice will be heeded and I’m still trying to get the smell out of this item.
