mercedes w126 coupe sec model series I
these cars where 70k++ when new, alot of car, and definitely the last over engineered mercedes sports coupe, well undervalued and as car with comfort with small budget is a very nice car to have, it stood the test of time much like the slc, and seb from the 60s. be aware of general faults with the model including parcel shelf is possible rust point and water is let from the back windscreen, also from sunroof, sunroof is another problem area many have stopped working and need some care to get working. overall have owned over 5 of these cars in the past 380 500 versions. the series II which started from 1986 although much sought after there is problems since they have alot more ECUs in the car repairs can be expensive, a series II can be dumped down to series I but a series I can not take series II enging since the wiring and configuration is different. so many r being broken as they r uneconomical to repair i prefer them to the w1254 which an E-class coupe. try to pya more and get a low mileage well looked after model, it well worth it, and specially if it has attached history to it. one day these cars will rocket in value but the remain a cracking buy in my eyes
