The auction was for a desk. Not a collectable that you could hold in your hand, or a CD player that you could send in the post. But a 120cm by 60cm desk. Something that absolutely needs to be picked up in person.
Did the Ebayer get in touch having won the auction? No, he did not. But, given that he supposedly lives in a flat in Jermyn Street in London, that's perhaps not entirely surprising.
My warning to other Ebayers? Don't be taken in by the 100% positive feedback...

Ebayer wasn't receiving notifications, hence the lack of comms. Once that issue was resolved, all was sweetness and light. Desk has just been collected and paid for, so I couldn't be happier! Many thanks!
