Gin Miller and the Funny Company
I love Gin Miller's step workouts, but sort of cringe when this tape comes up in my rotation. Great routines and excellent cueing, but the ENDLESS chatter will get to you after the first couple times you use this workout. And help me, Rhonda - the "Hip Hop" outfits Gin and all the steppers don for the last step workout. If only all the bullets used on Biggie and Tupac had been saved for these gangsta-wannabes, we'd all be happier. Buy Gin Miller's Simply Step instead. It's worth every penny, you get Gin's wittiness without her going overboard and you're spared the annoying silliness.

Great combo workout
The reason I purchased this DVD is because it seemed to hit three areas of interest: Gilad, step aerobics and upper body toning. I really enjoy the workout overall. The step workout without the upper body work isn't a challenge, but that's a good thing. The upper body work is mildly challenging, but when you combine the two (and that's fairly easy to do), you're sweating immediately and get a satisfying workout. Again, I stand by my overall excellent rating, but will mention that while you definitely feel immediate results from the effort you're putting in to the upper body work, I wasn't feeling any soreness or stiffness the next day. That's probably a good thing and I'm no expert, but I've found that I get the best results if I'm at least a little sore after trying a new workout.

This workout works!
Although the entire workout is lengthy (over an hour), the time seems to go by quickly. Karen teaches good form and technique and you'll definitely feel the results after your first attempt. If you keep at it (even just two times a week), you'll love the definition the weight training gives to your entire body.
