Topical Subject Mercedes Book! Great Illustrations!

The book contains some very helpful and informative chapters, however they are topical and lack in depth detailed information. For its price though I would say that it is one of the best economical Benz books on the market with wonderful crisp photographs of some of the finest Mercedes Benz Automobiles ever crafted!

Good Source of Information on 20th Century Delftware

It provides excellent details on the numerous 20th century manufacturers of Delft pottery. With the exception of a few "flaws" in the details given on Royal Goedewaagen and Oud Delft, the book is a very good source for facts and information. Has a nice reference area for painters marks of Makkum, Harlingen, and De Porceleyne Fles. Also gives the reader a little bit of information on the early antique productions of Delft. Very easy to read and understand. Certainly a very good guide book for the POST-1900 Delft collector.

Very Informative! Insightful! Excellent illustrations!
The writing is very clear, unlike a great deal of the early sources on Dutch Delftware, which seemed to have been written in a University Lecture type tone. This book covers the entire span of the Dutch Delftware industry, with surprisingly in depth information. It really reminded me of an updated form of Fourest's invaluable research aide "Dutch Delftware" (Faience production at Delft). Not only does this book show some of the scarce forms, which in many early books were only described and left a great deal to the imagination of the reader, but also some of the more common wares. Which greatly assists the average student and collector in learning more about the wares in their collection. Certainly a great book for anyone wishing to gain a intermediate understanding on the vast subject of Dutch Delftware!
