Stylish addition to the overall look of my car
I saw another model of MG in silver bodywork with this emblem in black, positioned above the indicators on each side of the car and thought I would try and copy the styling on my pearl black model. After cleaning the paintwork with solvent and adding masking tape to ensure accurate positioning, I applied the vinyl emblems as suggested in the advert using the front an back semi-adhesive sheets that aid handling during application... The metallic charcoal colour was a perfect match for my car and gives a subdued but stylish addition. The only problem I now have is to resist the temptation to let my imagination run riot adding other vinyl emblems over every other panel on the car.

Only lasted just over 18 months then completely failed
Bought this item just over 18 months ago and it stopped working a couple of weeks ago... I'm not impressed.

Clear coating peeled away in less than two months... not recommended!
UPDATE (17 Apr 2017) - It's been less than two months since I purchased and applied the product and although the initial results were very good, the coating has peeled away from the lens to reveal the abraded plastic underneath... I'm extremely disappointed. ORIGINAL (5 Apr 2017) - I was ready to replace the headlights on my car at a not inconsiderable cost, but thought I'd try this solution based on some reviews I had googled. The instructions suggested 30 minutes on preparation and sanding, but reviews I had read said at least an hour per headlight. I applied plenty of elbow grease and allowed at least an hour per headlight just on the preparation and sanding using plenty of water during the process. I also added my own abrasive in the form of extrafine (00000) wire wool as the final process. Even so I could not see how the now totally opaque lenses could be returned to totally clear. On the advice of some reviews I read, I applied the clear UV coating very generously to both lenses in one application, using up almost the entire bottle provided. The results were astonishing as the lenses were indeed returned to an as-new condition. I therefore certainly recommend this product to anyone as in my experience it worked perfectly.
