Will not function without modifications.

Casting marks on the interior surfaces, in the outer areas where two halves join in assembly, had to be ground off--otherwise they cut into the sealing ring. Also note, you must reuse the original sealing rings (similar to "O" rings), as Mercedes does not offer them as a part.
The two halves will bind/clamp against the intake body when the screws joining them together are fully tightened (use thread locker). I had to use a 0.1mm shim washer to obtain smooth operation.
The angle of operation is a few degrees different than the originals, but the interior baffles do fully open and fully close.
I would have given an OK quality rating, but no in between choice was offered on the questionnaire.
