GREAT field guide for birders, especially people just getting started!
I love this guide. It classifies the birds by color. The categories are birds that are mostly 1. black 2. black and white 3. blue 4. brown 5. gray 6. green 7. orange 8. red 9. white 10. yellow. Each section starts with the smallest birds and works its way up to the largest. It's an easy way to quickly identify the bird you're looking at. Each bird listing has a map of the state showing by color when and where the bird is located. Red is year round, yellow is migration, green is summer and blue is winter. Descriptions and general information is good. Some listings have more than one picture. In a number of cases the male is one color and the female another. Both will be listed in their respective color sections and include a small picture of the other with the page number that listing can be found on. One of the few drawbacks to this guide is not enough pictures of each bird. In some cases you can see two or three but on average you get one or two. In many cases you wish you had more pictures from different angles to help make identification easier. In all fairness though, I have never found a field guide yet that has enough pictures. LOVE THIS BOOK. It is one of two that I always have with me!!!

Binoculars that LITERALLY come apart after 3 weeks is NOT worth buying!!!!!
The binoculars were actually very decent as to magnification. These binoculars are made in China and are cheap for a reason. I used the binoculars every day in watching birds. In less than a month after purchasing them the screw receptacles holding the right side lens apparatus literally crumbled and the lower half of the right side fell off. I had to tape it back on to finish using it for the day but the focus is off allowing me to use only one side (keep one eye shut and focus on the good side). Also the sound feature is a selling point and that's all. It is not uni-directional so it picks up the sounds around you rather than focusing the sounds in on the direction you have the binoculars pointed. I would not recommend this item to anyone who is going to use it more than occasionally.

A GREAT Camera that takes GREAT Pictures with Many GREAT Features.
Love this camera. Takes great pictures. Lots of features to use and love. Feels good in your hands. I use it for taking close up pics for small items such as postage stamps to put on Ebay. In other instances I use it to take pictures of birds. The zoom lens is used daily when I'm trying to shoot my bird pics. A friend of mine purchased this camera when it first came out and paid just over $500.00 for the unit, the memory card and the case. You can usually find these units on Ebay at considerable savings. This is actually the second one I've purchased. First one is still going strong, I just wanted a backup.
