So far so good. I can imagine suction being a problem in certain conditions or if the material used for the cup hardens over time but I haven't encountered any issues yet.
Given the price it may be worth a try if you don't want to make permanent changes to your instrument and are looking to move beyond the stage of bodging something that sort of works.

Great Economical Solution
Love this item, which I purchased as a possible solution for an overheating laptop. Worked instantly, and saved me an absolute fortune (I now no longer need to purchase a new laptop). Even without the fans I love the new elevated position of my laptop, brings the screen almost to eye level, and the slight tilt makes typing so much easier and comfortable.
Can choose from running one fan, 3 fans or 5 fans (or none if you prefer). Only downside is that I need to turn it off after shutting down my laptop, however I feel that might have something to do with my settings rather than the product itself as my Mum bought the exact same one and hers switches off as soon as her laptopn is powered down.
Overall from me I give this 5 stars, as excellent value for money and an easy solution to laptops that are prone to getting really hot.
