very useful
I use this induction heater to heat up 20 and 30 diameter round bars for hot forging.
It required a large power supply rated 60 amp for 240V, not your average power outlet.
cooling required mains pressure or a pressure pump with a cooling system. I use a radiator for initial cooling and then evaporative cooling to keep the temperatures low, and recirculate with a pressure pump.
Making coils is simple if you have some tools, 8mm copper tube, shaped around a mandrel, and then flare the ends with a common flaring tool and using standard 8mm joiners onto the existing copper tubes seems to work giving a range of heating coils for different size materials (the closer the coils to the job the more efficient the heating).
The fibre-glass insulation wont last very long if the hot work-piece touches it, so be careful, or look at a refractory cement coating.
Seems to be a reasonable quality I guess time will tell.
