I'm very happy with my purchase. This trampoline replaced another trampoline that was falling apart due to rust. My old trampoline was buried at ground level, and the plan was to insert this one in the same hole. For any interested in also doing this, there are several modifications you may need to make. First, this one is a bit larger than 14 foot. My old Costco trampoline was slightly less. So the hole had to be larger. In order to prevent erosion or cave in of my lawn into the trampoline pit, I attached 6" benderboard around the frame by attaching it via the holes at the top of the legs. Had I read the manual first, I would have realized that the super springs wouldn't attach because the bender board was too close to the frame. This required a small adjustment that I don't think hinders the performance of the trampoline. The bender board also made it impossible to attach the matt as prescribed. This was easily remedied by securing the matt with string to the frame. Now that it's all done, it looks and works great. I don't think my modifications have hindered its performance in any way, and I know that the ground level trampolline is much safer than a free standing one, even with the netting. Still, if you are considering this kind of installation, you might want to understand how the springs attach PRIOR to building an under ground retaining wall.
