Additional Information
An impetuous princess discovers that her reckless choice has put both her family and her father's kingdom in peril in this animated adventure from Pixar films. Merida may be the daughter of royalty, but all she wants out of life is to become a truly great archer. When Merida and her mother clash over the willful girl's future, the decisions she makes have greater repercussions that she ever imagined. Now, in order to save her mother's life and bring peace back to the Highlands, Merida will have to face off against the forces of nature and contend with an ancient curse.
Reviews
Village Voice - The animation studio's first film with a female protagonist, a defiant lass who acts as a much-welcome corrective to retrograde Disney heroines of the past and the company's unstoppable pink-princess merchandising., Movieline - My heart belongs to Bear Elinor, whose movements and mannerisms are a tender echo of Human Elinor's û her character is designed and drawn just that carefully., Rolling Stone - A rousing, gorgeously animated good time., The Guardian - For the animation studio's debut foray into fairytale, Pixar has delivered a rousing family melodrama., Miami Herald - BRAVE has a manic, almost daffy energy and sense of humor.
