Mars' second album sounds good production-wise, but is derailed by too many misogynistic lyrics and not enough memorable songs.
Reviews
"Mars still plays the sweetheart card well, but he’s proven himself way more interesting as a badass.", ""Boldly ambitious and gloriously irreverent, UNORTHODOX JUKEBOX is made for -- and gets better with -- as many repeat plays as you can manage.", 4 stars out of 5 -- "He infuses his songs with old-fashioned crooning as classily antique as his wide-brimmed fedora....A record that makes the competition sound sad and idea-starved by comparison.", "Old-school charm still gets Mars the furthers, and the best thing here is the classic torch song 'When I Was Your Man'..." -- Grade: A-
