Blu-ray.com - I enjoyed this second OVA a bit more than the first, which certainly bodes well for the third., themanime.org - The landscapes are detailed and very impressive. The extravagant but ominous and eerily lit city with expressways twisting through the sky and the contrast of the slums at the pits. The action sequences are lightning quick and well executed.

Following the events of THE FIRST COMPRESSION, Balot and a severely injured Oeufcoque appear to be at the mercy of Boiled, but soon Dr. Easter comes to their resuce and they escape to 'Paradise'. While there, they discover that many secrets of Mardock may be unveiled and Balot has a decision to make about what she can and will do. They realise that they must infiltrate a casino and win four million-dollars without raising suspicion in order to get what they seek.
