This book provides a guide to the newcomer to deer hunting whilst covering much that will be of interest to the more experienced deer stalker. Dealing with both woodland and hill stalking, it covers firearms law, the natural history of deer, choice of equipment, safety, stalking tactics, and provides an understanding of the need for deer control. AUTHOR: Graham Downing is a regular contributor to The Field, Shooting Times and The Shooting Gazette and is editor of the British Deer Society's journal Deer. He is a vice-president of the British Association for Shooting and Conservation, a Council member of the British Shooting Sports Council and Shooting Consultant to the Countryside Alliance.
