Like Ford/Wayne and most recently, Spielberg/Hanks they produced a string of matchless films before they stopped working together in 1965, a huge loss for cinema. Many books have been written about Kurosawa but this is the only book I know of that focuses on their magical partnership. Unfortunately it’s difficult to find at a decent price. Reprint anyone?
