Synopsis
At the moment there are a number of books on the market which deal with WCDMA, CDMA2000, UMTS, and even with IETF protocols like SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), but as yet there isn't a book available covering IMS in depth., The 3G IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS): Merging the Internet and the Cellular Worlds, Second Edition is a fully updated version of the best-selling guide to this exciting technology that will merge the Internet with the cellular world, ensuring the availability of Internet technologies such as the web, email, instant messaging, presence and videoconferencing nearly everywhere. In this thoroughly revised overview of the IMS and its technologies, goals, history, vision, and the organizations involved in its standardization and architecture, the authors first describe how each technology works on the Internet and then explain how the same technology is adapted to work in the IMS, enabling readers to take advantage of any current and future Internet service. Key features of the Second Edition include:New chapter on Next Generation Networks (NGN), including a standardization overview, and coverage of security and service issuesTwo new chapters describing the conference service in both the internet and IMS, explaining the architecture, the binary conference control protocol (BFCP), conference migration (two-party to multi-part) and dial-out conference proceduresSeveral expanded sections, including: forking, lawful interception, IMS device configuration and Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) and key protocols, e.g. Combinational Services (3GPP TR 23.899) and Early IMS Security for GPRS Access (3GPP TR 33.878 and 33.978)Comprehensive coverage of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), the format of Call Data Records (CDRs) and detailed advice on General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) chargingEngineers, programmers, business managers, marketing representatives, and technically aware users will all find this to be an indispensable guide to IMS and the business model behind it., "The 3G IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS): Merging the Internet and the Cellular Worlds, Second Edition" is an updated version of the best-selling guide to this exciting technology that will merge the Internet with the cellular world, ensuring the availability of Internet technologies such as the web, email, instant messaging, presence and videoconferencing nearly everywhere. Key features of the Second Edition include: New chapter on Next Generation Networks, including an overview on standardization, the architecture, and PSTN/ISDN simulation services. Fully updated chapter on the Push-to-talk over Cellular (PoC) service, covering the standardization in the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA), architecture, PoC session types, user plane, and the Talk Burst Control Protocol. Several expanded sections, including discussion of the role of the Open Mobile Alliance in the standardization process, IPv4 support in IMS, a description of the IMS Application Layer Gateway and the Transition Gateway, and a description of the presence data model. Updated material on the presence service, session-based instant messages with the Message Session Relay Protocol (MSRP), and the XML Configuration Access Protocol (XCAP). Supported by a companion website on which instructors and lecturers can find electronic versions of the figures. Engineers, programmers, business managers, marketing representatives, and technically aware users will all find this to be an indispensable guide to IMS and the business model behind it., The 3G IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS): Merging the Internet and the Cellular Worlds, Second Edition is an updated version of the best-selling guide to this exciting technology that will merge the Internet with the cellular world, ensuring the availability of Internet technologies such as the web, email, instant messaging, presence and videoconferencing nearly everywhere. El artículo correspondía al de la descripción. Llegó quizá en un bolsa con poca protección por lo que el libro llegó con daños en la cubierta. Hablé con el vendedor y me ofreció muy amablemente un reembolso. Muy contento con el vendedor.

Item in condition described. The shipment tracking was completely opaque and shipping was slow. The seller used a third-party shipping solution provider that gave a USPS tracking number, but, USPS had no real tracking info. I was not able to see any delivery estimate until the day before it arrived. When the delivery date estimate finally materialized, it was off by two days, saying arrival would be on e.g. the 5th when it actually arrived on the 3rd.

As the title mentions awesomebooksusa, most books have been rarely awesome but the book prices have been almost generous, granted. Unbelievable services : 3 day international shipping, prompt dispatch, newly book condition, provided tracking, secure package, exactly received book, and safe deliveries. My gratitude to the seller’s thoughts of the needy buyers sending the wanted books to the new residence. Many thanks! Arabella
