This book is truly extraordinary for the deeper meaning it offers, especially the power of perception. As in a favorite verse of Bob Dylan, "how many times can a man turn his head and pretend that he just doesn't see?" This book relates to so much, such as our carbon footprint and, in the example of a hamburger, all the steps, all the people, from farmers of the lettuce, to the herders of the cattle, the energy used to transport it all.
