À propos de ce produit
Product Information
Santa Claus began as Nicholas, a Byzantine bishop whose anonymous acts of nighttime charity would turn him into the most popular and enduring of all saints. Jeremy Seal's journey follows Nicholas's all-conquering expansion west from Turkey to the Crusader ports of Bari and Venice, and thence to 16th century Amsterdam. Seal records his subject's 20th century rebirth in the advertising boardrooms of Manhattan, and his own children's encounter with Santa in his new Lapland home. This high adventure spans early-Christian relics and Italian chicanery to reindeer, chimneys and chocolate coins, in a riveting narrative that combines epic sweep with cameos of childhood innocence. From the nature of belief to the settling of modern America, this is an extraordinary tale, triumphantly told. I changed my mind, and cancelled this item very soon after the order was placed. The Seller was able to respond to this request promptly and my money was reimbursed without fuss. I have purchased from Awesome a number of times, and (as reflected in the customer ratings) find customer service very good, books ordered to date are accurate to description - i.e. very good to nearly new condition. With their competitive prices I will continue to buy from this seller in the future.

Firstly, I believe in HONEST reviews. Unfortunately the book had loads of underlining in it, but I was refunded straight away, I have bought from this company plenty of times, buying 100's of books and I've never had any problems before, mistakes happen and it was rectified immediately, therefore I will still continue to buy from them and also HIGHLY recommend this company, communication was quick and professional and it was well packaged with fast delivery. Thank you.

This seller gave excellent communication & a full refund when the book I ordered was found to be damaged at the warehouse. They sent a very apologetic email explaining the issue & refunded me straight away. I have used this seller before & they have always been reliable & prompt with delivery. The items have also been in even better condition than described for an amazingly reasonable price. This was not their fault, so I would definitely buy from this seller again & recommend them to others.
