From Earth to the Star Brigade, the G.I. Joe character Sci-Fi has seen multiple releases in this series of products. However, one of his most iconic looks in this series is his 1991 release. Even though his outfit may look different, many aspects of the figure's personality remain the same. The toy still wears a helmet and continues to fight with futuristic laser weaponry. This love of futuristic weaponry is how the character earned his codename in the series. The man underneath the helmet is Sgt. Seymour Fine. This G.I. Joe version of Sci-Fi is the first time you can remove the helmet. Underneath the helmet is a stern face depicting a man who has seen his fair share of battle. The first thing you'll notice about this version of Sci-Fi is his outfit. This action figure trades in his prior lime green jumpsuit for a black and gray appearance. The gray molded jumpsuit features sculpted wrinkles and folds, giving it the appearance of a fabric material. On Sci-Fi's boots, shoulders, and chest is sculpted black armor pieces. This armor protects him from Cobra laser blasts. The character's helmet is painted black with a silver visor. It easily slides over the G.I. Joe figure's head without damage to the paint on the face. Like all G.I. Joe figures of this era, Sci-Fi contains over eight points of articulation. His head swivels from side to side so he can search for Cobra operatives. His arms move in all directions, including over his head and straight out from his sides. His elbows have hinges so Sci-Fi can hold his weapons realistically. Like other G.I. Joe figures, Sci-Fi uses an O-Ring to connect the top and bottom halves of his body together. This figure features joints in both his hips and his knees. This articulation lets the toy fit into any G.I. Joe vehicle, such as those from the 30th Anniversary line. Both of the hands in this product are sculpted to hold a weapon or accessory. Not only can Sci-Fi hold his own weapons, but he can also carry weapons from other Joe toys in your collection. Likewise, other Joes, such as Airtight, can also use Sci-Fi's weapons. Being able to mix and match different weapons and accessories gives you an infinite amount of play value. This figure has sturdy joints and is designed with play in mind. This durability makes this action figure perfect for young children. Older fans will like how this product features a look that is accurate to the original show. Hasbro included over five different accessories with this G.I. Joe product. In addition to the helmet, this trooper also comes with a silver backpack. This backpack plugs firmly into the character's back and powers his weapons. The included hose runs from the pack to the character's massive missile launcher. Load a missile into the spring-loaded launcher and press the button to launch it over 5 feet. This soldier also possesses a uniquely designed silver laser rifle. A second hose allows you to connect the pack to the rifle.
