Considered a classic in travel and adventure literature, the narrative is partly based on the author's actual experiences on the island Nuku Hiva in the South Pacific Marquesas Islands in 1842, liberally supplemented with imaginative reconstruction and adaptation of material from other books. The title is from the province Tai Pi Vai. Typee was Melville's most popular work during his lifetime; it made him notorious as the man who lived among the cannibals

It arrived on 23rd July and was originally supposed to arrive between 16th + 20th July. It was not dispatched until 19th July. This wasn’t a big problem as the book was for me and not a gift. I have bought from this seller before and will buy from them again. The previous book I ordered also arrived late. If it was a book I needed for a specific date I would just order in plenty of time. It does say that it can take 6 days to dispatch.

I do, however, still believe there MAY be a little bit of a dropship situation going on though as per my other feedback. It won't put me off buying though!!
