Emphasizing its classic profile, the Nike SV Tour Black Wedge Golf Club provides a clean look with maximum versatility and outstanding performance. Launched by Nike in 2008, this piece of sports equipment has more than just a handsome appearance. The design of this wedge provides consistent golf ball response with every hit, even on fuller swings, for increased accuracy and control, ultimately enhancing your confidence. Every shot feels soft and smooth, and distance control is consistent. This wedge’s CNC milled flat face has Nike’s brand of U/V hybrid grooves, which are designed to regulate spin. That’s because the face’s U/V scored grooves are able to grab the ball more snugly and more aggressively while at the same time removing grass, dirt, and water so there is more solid contact with the ball. The milled face made of soft 8620 carbon steel (45% softer than 17-4 stainless steel) offers plenty of feel. It also has a mid-sheen, black nickel, Tour-inspired satin chrome finish designed specifically to reduce glare on the green. The wedge’s True Temper S400 Dynamic Gold steel shaft is also a little heavier than the S300 that is found in most other wedge designs. You’ll experience a swing weight of around D6, which is ideal for golfers who prefer a greater shaft weight than head weight. Moreover, due to the variety of lofts available, this club provides exceptional spin that brings the ball to an abrupt halt when shooting on the green. The SV Tour wedge comes in lofts of 52, 54, 56, and 60 degrees.
