Despite its deceptive title, Mecarobot Golf does not let you play as a robot. Rather, you play against a highly skilled robot on 18 holes of a standard golf course. You can have the robot as a teammate, but his abilities are toned down tremendously in this mode since, as he says, he aims to "play fair." Adding to the frustration are inaccurate controls that force you to be more precise than most "normal" golf games. The game has battery backup, decent graphics, golf lessons, and a driving range, but these qualities don't make up for its obnoxious shortcomings.
