Synopsis
The American Diabetes Association/Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Sourcebook for Type 1 Diabetes serves as both an evidence-based reference work and consensus report outlining the most critical components of care for individuals with type 1 diabetes throughout their lifespan. The volume serves not only as a comprehensive guide for clinicians, but also reviews the evidence supporting these components of care and provides a perspective on the critical areas of research that are needed to improve our understanding of type 1 diabetes diagnosis and treatment. The volume focuses specifically on the needs of patients with type 1 diabetes and provides clear and detailed guidance on the current standards for the optimal treatment of type 1 diabetes from early childhood to later life. To accomplish the book's editorial goals, Editors-in-Chief, Drs. Anne Peters and Lori Laffel, assembled an editorial steering committee of prominent research physicians, clinicians, and educators to develop the topical coverage. In addition, a Managing Editor was brought on to help the authors write and focus their chapters. The members of the steering committee include Belinda Childs, ARNP, MN, BC-ADM, CDE; Richard Insel, MD; M. Sue Kirkman, MD; Margaret Powers, PhD, RD, CDE; Richard Rubin, PhD, CDE; Desmond Schatz, MD; Linda Siminerio, RN, PhD, CDE. The steering committee members, along with Managing Editor, Jane Chiang, MD, worked directly with the forty-one (41) chapter authors to write and complete each chapter., The central part of the planned FAIR project in Darmstadt is a heavy ion syn chrotron called SIS300 with a magnetic rigidity Bp =300 Tm and a circumference of 1,100 m [8]. 1 The magnetic field will be produced by superconducting magnets with a maximum induction of 6 Tesla which can be ramped with a rate of 1TIs. With this OeV/u, synchrotron bare uranium can be accelerated up to a maximum energy of 34 corresponding to a relativistic factor y = 1/. 11 - f32 = 37. 5 and a reduced velocity f3 = v/c = 0. 9996444, with c the speed of light. A fascinating possibility of this accelerator is the excitation of few electron systems by the interaction with the light of conventional lasers in a collinear geometry. If the laser beam counter-propagates y = 36, the laser light at the blue edge of the visible lithium-like uranium with spectral range with an energy of IuaL = 3. 898eV isDoppler-shifted and appears in the rest frame of the Li-like system with an energy of tUJJo~ 2yliwL = 280. 6 eV. As will be outlined in more detail in Section 2 this is just the 2P / - 2S / transition energy 1 2 I 2 in lithium-like uranium. A variety of spectroscopic possibilities exist if this transition can be induced., This volume contains papers presented at the 6th International Workshop on Application of Lasers in Atomic Nuclei Research, LASER 2006, held in Poznan, Poland, May 29-June 01, 2006. Researchers and PhD students interested in recent results in the nuclear structure investigation by laser spectroscopy, the progress of the experimental technique and the future developments in the field will find this volume indispensable.

Book came packaged well to avoid damage, in great condition. Not sure if the seller delayed shipping or if usps didn’t update the shipping, which is highly likely. Still received and we are happy with our purchase. I had trouble looking up tracking due to the company they used but seller found usps tracking and sent that over quickly. Sellers communication was excellent. Would buy from again. Item as described.

I don't give negatives; However, description was not correct; No price guide was included in this book.As you will see in book pic shown; title states price guide included, no price guide inside. Communication poor, description, no communication price guide missing from this book. Shipping time was weeks before it was even shipped. Blamed the shipping on warehouse. You own & operate a business; your warehouse is not up to standards you change who you do business with. It's your responsibility.

Item arrived as described and adequately packaged. Ridiculously long shipping time. Seller posts incorrect tracking number and lists the item as shipped. Contacted seller for correct tracking, received a new tracking number with the warning that the number won’t be “live” until the item is shipped. Will you get your item? Yeah, probably. Count on it being delivered 2-3 weeks longer than expected.
