Notes
It is as tragic a story as any in popular music. Frankie Lymon was a star at 13, washed up at 16, a drug addict at 17, and dead at 25. His Gee recordings caught the spirit of rock 'n' roll as music made by and for teenagers. This set includes all of his recordings for the Gee-Roulette labels, recorded between 1955 and 1977 and, of course, includes his great hits Why Do Fools Fall In Love, The ABCs Of Love, I'm Not A Juvenile Delinquent and I Want You To Be My Girl'. The exuberance is irrepressible.
