This is a portable navigation device that offers a full range of features and accessories in a sleek and uncluttered unit. The Magellan Maestro GPS is mid-range in line with more features than the brand’s popular RoadMate and offers the best value for the money. The navigating device attaches to the vehicle with a locking swivel arm with a suction cup and the unit attaches to the arm. This Magellan Maestro GPS is equipped with the SiRF Star II GPS chip. The Trip Planner allows you to store up to 20 trips in memory. Magellan Maestro GPS makes navigation easy with simple and attractive map design, including maps of Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada to guide you along your route in the United States and Canada. The unit is equipped with SayWhere turn by turn voice guidance, so you are able to follow the instructions quickly and QuickSpell software to search for destinations faster. You have the ability to add multiple stops when planning your route, calculate how far you have driven, drive time, trip time, and average speed. This Magellan Maestro GPS features a full color 4.3 inch WQVGA display with an anti-glare touchscreen, so every map is easy to read. The touchscreen technology eliminates the need for buttons. The unit has just a power button, and everything else is managed with the touchscreen. Set preferences, control language, time zone, screen brightness, units of measure, and more. In addition to the map, you will be able to view your speed, current location, direction, latitude and longitude, and the distance to the nearest exits. Magellan Maestro 4040 is equipped with Bluetooth and text-to-speech technologies. Pair your wireless phone with Bluetooth to dial from the unit and use the extensive address book to store your important contacts. The Magellan Maestro GPS has built-in AAA travel information. The TourBook and AAA member roadside assistance information are built into the system with a points of interest (POI) database contains information for members about shops and campgrounds offering member discounts. There are more than 4.5 million POIs in the database, making it easy to find services in unfamiliar areas and when traveling. The Magellan Maestro GPS features a simple user interface and easy to navigate menu. The battery on the Magellan Maestro 4040 GPS lasts for approximately 3 hours. If you are planning a longer trip, bring along the battery charger to make sure your battery stays charged. Update your Magellan Maestro regularly to prevent crashes and maximize system performance. Update the driver downloads and software with the Magellan Driver Update Tool. Prevents crashes and maximizes system performance. The accessories include a storage bag for the unit, and the navigation system is covered by a warranty.
