Schecter Guitar Research pays homage to their heritage with the PT Custom Electric Guitar. Designed for exemplary sound and functionality, this six-stringed beauty has that familiar feel sought by experienced players. The PT Custom is an old-school-cool guitar that brings style and unmatched playability in a shape and design reminiscent of vintage Fender Telecaster electric guitars. This guitar boasts an outstanding acoustic quality and low weight courtesy of its durable swamp ash body. Available in a Black Cherry Burst finish and Trans Black Burst version, the gloss of its flamed maple top and shiny chrome hardware honor the elegance and timelessness of its origins.The fretboard has the perfect balance for performing both soulful solos and powerful rhythm sections. True to the concept of the playability behind its design, the fingerboard features 21 X-Jumbo frets and a 25.5-inch scale. Plenty of space and long sustain times make it an easy guitar to play on, letting you bend and hammer on with perfect precision. Made in light rosewood, it is ornamented with white dot inlays for easier navigation. Behind it, the bolt-on C-profile maple neck is constructed for sustained stability and enhanced intonation. Forget about fret buzzing and slow chord changes; the dual truss rod system lets you adjust string height and action for smooth, tone-rich performances with a mere check of a standard Allen nut. At the headstock of this guitar, Schecter Locking tuners make tuning after every song a thing of the past. Together with these, exact tuning is made achievable by the Diamond Hardtail bridge, which locks rock solid to the body. A Graph Tech XL nut provides the right amount of tension, which is set up to perfection at the Schecter factory for a set of Ernie Ball Slinky .009 strings. String definition on both the bridge and neck remains impressive regardless of what number the gain control eventually creeps up to during play. This electric guitar features a killer dual humbucker setup with two Diamond Plus humbucker pickups. These allow for a wide sonic range with zero humming. Next to the uniquely shaped white pickguard, a control plate holds the volume and tone push-pull knobs as well as a three-way switch for pickup selection. Splitting the coils gives the PT some blues and country appeal thanks to its warmer mids in contrast to the fuller sound with lots of bass and treble provided by the whole humbuckers.Designed in the USA, this series benefits from high-tech production in South Korea.
