Launched in 1936 in the Sunday Post in Scotland, Oor Wullie is still one of the most popular children's comics and annuals in Scotland with a readerrship covering all generations. The Oor Wullie annual sells over 100,000 copies each year. This is a slip-cased facsimile of the first ever Oor Wullie annual published in 1940 after the comic had launched in 1936.
