Barry Manilow's THE GREATEST SOUNDS OF THE SEVENTIES album has made a welcome addition to his canon, and so he takes the next natural step by performing many of the songs live on this PBS presentation. The show was recorded deep in the heart of hipster land--Williamsburg, Brooklyn--and finds Manilow performing a pleasing mixture of his own material and some huge hits from other stars. Among the setlist are Manilow staples such as "Copacabana" and "Mandy," while the covers include renditions of "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother," "The Way We Were," and a lengthy medley of '70s hits.
