Fans of Deadpool's ability to break the fourth wall will love the Diamond Select Toys Marvel Minimates Deadpool Assemble box set. This pack features four 2.5-inch Minimates figures of the anti-hero cosplaying as four Marvel heroes including Cable, Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man. Each figure comes with their iconic accessories. Cable-Pool has the character's oversized shoulder pads and large guns, and Thor-Pool features an Asgardian helmet, Mjolnir, and cape. Captain America’s shield has been recolored in Deadpool’s signature red, black, and white for Ameri-Pool, while Ironman’s armor has been upgraded with giant shoulder-mounted cannons and a darker palette. Like all Minimates figures, the Deadpool Assemble Minimates lets collectors mix and match accessories. For example, you can create an Ironman Deadpool who wields Thor's hammer and helmet or give Cable a shield instead of a gun in his left hand. Each action figure has sixteen points of articulation, giving you many possible posing combinations. As a bonus, DST added a secret fifth character. Underneath the Iron Man suit is a Deadpool Minimate wearing an X-Men costume. Art Asylum makes Minimate figures for several universes, from Marvel to Star Wars. You can use this set to play with any of the others. For example, you can easily select pieces to borrow from Batman or anyone from the Avengers. There are hundreds of toys in the Minimates series. This means there are literally millions of combinations for these figurines and the characters that they can create. Endless possibility means endless play, and the sturdy PVC construction is more than strong enough to hold up. The joints and articulation points are designed so that the characters can be taken apart and put back together with a snug fit every time. This series of collectible figurines is appropriate for children ages six and up.
