Cancelled by the UPN after only five episodes but resuscitated by the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim for an additional four-year run, the animated television series HOME MOVIES earned its loyal cult following with a satiric sense of humor reminiscent of THE SIMPSONS and a Squigglevision style of animation pioneered by DR. KATZ, PROFESSIONAL THERAPIST (though it was later replaced by Flash animation in the second season). Created by Loren Bouchard and Brendon Small, the series followed the trials and tribulations of precocious 8-year-old Brendon (named for and voiced by its co-creator) as he navigated through the daily traumas of childhood with the help of his neurotic single mother, drunken soccer coach, and a home video camera which he used to record his innermost dreams and aspirations. Simultaneously funny and emotional, this collection includes all 13 episodes of the series' second season on Adult Swim.
