Developer Cyan Worlds brings its 1993 landmark home computer graphic adventure game to Nintendo DS with this 2008 release. The game makes use of the stylus and touch screen the for mouse clicks and cursor interactions of the Mac and PC originals, and new DS additions such as the magnifying glass and built-in note pad allow players on-the-go to pore over puzzling texts and jot notes for themselves.
In Myst, a cryptic book transports players to a strange island full of weird mechanical contraptions, surreal visions, and complicated, sometimes convoluted puzzles that must be solved. Although it's a direct port of the original game, with 2D hand-painted scenery intact, the DS version of Myst also includes an additional campaign, the Rime Age, which appeared previously only in a later, 3D revision of the home computer game.
