Made by Victor Hasselblad, this Hasselblad 500 EL/M is a wonderful medium format single-lens reflex camera. It was produced between 1971 and 1984 by the well-known camera company. Photographers with an eye for skilled shots will appreciate its combination of professional options. This classic metal camera is heavy enough to become a valuable part of your studio tools.This camera relies on leaf lenses as part of its Synchro-Compur design. They are built into the casing for added durability. Full shutter speeds range from 1 to 1/500 plus B. Each shutter speed can be set with a ring and scale that is located on the lens. The release can be found on the front of the device's body. Located on the right side of the item, this silver button promotes convenience. The Hasselblad viewfinder offers waist level perspectives. It has a Fresnel lens with a grainless ground-glass screen. There is a cross in the center of the viewfinder that has black lines. These lines allow better shot selection and help the photographer to maintain manual perspective for each photo.Among preferred lenses, the Carl Zeiss Planar 80-millimeter f/2.8 is commonly used with this model. Any model lens can be attached to the item if it has a bayonet mount attachment. A lens can be changed easily by pressing a button found on the device's casing. The Fresnel matte screen provides safe and convenient lens focus options. The Hasselblad 500 EL/M uses 120-roll film. Pictures taken with this device use a 6-centimeter by 6-centimeter format that showcases the photo's unique sense of style. For 6 by 4.5 images, a special magazine is required to produce the desired resolution.Two 3V Ni-Cad rechargeable batteries are the original choice to power the product. It will also work with a 9-volt battery with an adapter. A 1.6-amp fuse can be found in the battery compartment. During replacement, it can be adjusted and removed with little effort. A new fuse attachment can be added within minutes of the worn fuse's removal.Settings for the 500EL number motor drive can be made with one easy-to-use dial. Five available settings give a variety of choices for each session. The single-shot normal mode is the preferred selection for constant use. This camera uses an LOT selector lever. It allows the user to control time exposure, speeds, and the release lock. These functions can speed up shot selection between images.A frame counter lets the user know whether the camera is ready for use. Its white display sits in the window and assists photography. If a red indicator is displayed on the screen, it indicates that the installed film has not been sufficiently advanced for use. This model also features a self-timer. There is a socket that allows for simple tripod attachment. The quarter-inch socket is made to hold most recognized tripod models and brands. Buttons are also included for photographers that would like to utilize a strap or similar equipment. A DIN connector uses an adapter of 500mA at 6-volts DC. It is recommended to remove the batteries to use this special selection.
