You are a member of S.C.A.T. -- Sega Control Attack Team. Your office has just received news that there is an unexplained disappearance of five civilians in the vicinity of Lakeshore. Their assumed last whereabouts is Mr. and Mrs. Victor Martin's estate. Following an investigation by S.C.A.T. agents it was discovered that the house is filled with trap doors, hidden surveillance cameras, and contains a control unit for the traps and cameras in the basement. The control unit is protected by an access code that the Martins can change at will forcing the agents to break into the house and setup an override cable that allows you to control the traps and cameras.

Now a group of five more guests, females between the ages of 16 and 19, will be staying at the estate. An undercover agent played by Dana Plato has been placed in the group in order to protect the women. Their safety may be in danger so it is up to you to monitor each room of the house in order to determine what secrets, if any, the Martins are hiding. Night Trap is completely in full motion video and the whole game is acted out like a movie. You watch the movie by switching between cameras in each room of the house and when necessary you can activate traps to capture anyone or anything that is a threat to the women.
