Available in DVD, "Major Payne" is a comedy about life in the military. In "Major Payne," a marine named Major Benson Winifred Payne is being discharged. After the discharge, he is put into control of a JROTC troop that needs to shape up for a competition. The hardened marine does not mix well with the JROTC group. He uses things like real bullets and live grenades to get the cadets in line. He slowly gets them to go from a sloppy bunch to a tight military unit. He works with them until the military wants him to go to Bosnia. The main character then has to choose between returning to the Marine Corps or to stay with the JROTC group. The stars in "Major Payne" are Damon Waynes, Michael Ironside, and Scott Bigalow. It was directed by Nick Castle. The comedy is rated PG-13 for crude humor, crude language, and violence. The DVD includes audio in English and French, and the subtitles come in English and Spanish.
