Prismacolor meets the needs of artists through progressing levels. Beginning students who are learning color, pressure, and blending applications need firmer pencil tips for their coloring books. They need colored pencils that are harder and longer lasting. Scholastic students require color supplies that are durable yet softer and workable. Professional-grade colors need thick hues but soft and workable point strength that will not crumble. Col-Erase is erasable and re-workable. Sketching with Prismacolor adds color to your creative hobbies and commercial projects. They come in a box of 12 and are designed to erase easily as you are reworking your project. They sharpen to a good point and sketch smoothly as you detail your art and ideas. The blue fades into the background when lines are emphasized in black. Col-Erase pencils are comfortable to hold and blend well with other Prisma hues. This Prismacolor colored pencil goes down on surfaces consistently and responds well to differing pressures. If you make a mistake or are a cleanup artist, use the convenient eraser at the end of the pencil. The erasers are secured and will not unfasten with excessive use. The hexagonal shaped shaft makes handling the eraser easier in tight areas. Marking, drawing, and correcting tech and animation designs takes hours. Col-Erase is comfortable to hold the whole time. Use kneaded erasers if your project is large and requires more adjustments. If the tip breaks while sharpening your pencils, lay them in the sun to warm the waxy core. Heating your pencils in a microwave can work, but use short five-second intervals. A blast of heat can destroy its medium quality. When you are preparing layers and layers of paper for drafting designs or animations, graphite or charcoal will smear. With an erasable pencil, you will keep solid lines as you slide and flip papers. This pencil has a wax base that erases perfectly and will not smear or bleed through even fine paper. Prismacolor non-photo blue can be used for marking a photo, writing and editing writings, making clothes patterns, musical scores sheets, graphs, color-coded information, or creating images for architectural designs, illustrations, and animations. You can make light initial sketches and follow over with ink or graphite for a visibly prepared set. You can make clean photocopies of any of your work thanks to the fact that the light blue hue does not reproduce. Wax bloom is natural oxidation common with exposure to air. It appears as a white film over your color. It removes easily when you wipe it with a soft cloth. Protect your designs yet continue to work using a workable fixative between layers to seal air out. Spraying your designs with a final fixative will seal and protect your project. Prismacolors are a great non-toxic shaded medium that does not contain lead, and their main ingredients are wax and clay. Artists can paint with vivid red, green, yellow, terra cotta, and indigo blue on canvas or illustration board to achieve different effects.
