Two U.S. Top 10 LPs from Lawrence Welk on one CD - "Baby Elephant Walk" and "Young World", plus 4 bonus tracks from his singles, which are all appearing on CD for the first time. Accordionist Lawrence Welk was bandleader of his own band with his own national TV musical variety show from 1955 until 1971. Those TV shows scored high ratings resulting in Welk's LPs charting regularly and charting high. The two albums on this CD issue are no exception - "Baby Elephant Walk" peaked at #9 and "Young World" #6. The single "Baby Elephant Walk" reached #48 in the pop charts while another single "Theme from My Three Sons" reached #55.
