A gripping historical drama, LE CHAMBON is based on one of World War II's most inspiring events. When Hitler attempted to arrest and inter Jews throughout Europe, one small town in the French countryside, Le-Chambon-sur-Lignon, refused to stand for it. Comprised mostly of Huegenot farmers, this village had survived a long history of religious persecution and refused to have that horror unfold again. Led by an intrepid and strong-willed Christian pastor, the village of Le Chambon not only saved its own Jews but provided shelter and refuge for thousands of others from all over the country.
