Using real FIA data from the 1998 Formula One World Championship, Official Formula 1 Racing has all 11 teams and 16 circuits rendered in 3D, with the sights and sounds of the races. Play solo or against up to seven others on a LAN or over the Internet in simulation or arcade mode.
There are over 20 customizable camera angles available during each race, and you can set the weather yourself or leave it to chance. The game takes road conditions into account if you're racing in the rain, so choosing the appropriate tires is important.
Every track in the Grand Prix circuit is represented, from Albert Park in Australia, to Circuito Almirante-Brown in Argentina, to Silverstone in England. Your team's progress is saved during the season as you race at one of three difficulty levels. You can take a helicopter flyover of the course or practice laps before taking the time trial, which determines your starting place. Afterward, you can head to the garage to make modifications to your car and adjust your strategy for the next race.
