Peter Gabriel revitalized his career and scored one of the most critically and commercially successful albums of the ’80s with his 1986 release ‘So,’ which is being re-released in an expanded 25th Anniversary Edition on Oct. 2015. Launched by the enormous success of the lead single ‘Sledgehammer’ and its innovative music video — still MTV’s most-played clip of all time — ‘So’ was a worldwide hit, reaching No. 1 in the U.K., Canada, Italy, and Holland and No. 2 in the U.S. and Germany.
