Closely resembling the popular Arcade game Championship Sprint, Sprint Master pits you against a computer or human opponent car in this overhead-view racing game.
Upon starting Sprint Master, you are offered several options before you race. You can select the number of players, total number of laps (1 to 50), whether or not you want your cars to bounce or crash against walls, which of the nine tracks you wish to race, and what the track surface will be -- blacktop, dirt or ice. The difficulty switch affects your car's traction. Setting it to 'A' will give you less traction.
The nine tracks range in style from standard ovals to twisting courses that sport jumps and moving barriers.
There are several obstacles on the road you want to avoid. A tar slick affects your car unpredictably -- you may either speed up or slow down. You also want to avoid hitting walls, which will cost you time either by slowing you down or smashing your car to bits.
There are also bonus items on the track. Running over a blue box gives you extra traction, and a red box makes your car faster.
