The life story of Steve Borden, a wrestling superstar who was known in the ring as Sting, is a harrowing tale of despair and redemption. When Sting created his wrestling persona, he invented the most outrageous character he could conceive of, and it worked like a charm. He became one of the most popular and notorious wrestlers around, twice beating out Hulk Hogan for the World Championship title, which he won a total of 10 times. Sting's solemn, black and white face and wild antics--which included once being helicoptered into the ring--put his star on the rise, but his private world was falling apart. Sting began taking pills and drinking on a regular basis, and drifted farther and farther from his wife and the family he loved. Confronted about his behavior by his wife Sue, Sting recognized that he had lost his way, and it was then that he accepted Christ into his heart. Turning his life around, Sting left the wrestling world in order to devote himself more fully to the Lord, and it is this redemption that is at the heart of this inspiring film.
