That is not true. Warning is shown at checkout, no matter if purchase is placed from mobile or desktop device. We can admit that it's quite small, but we have no impact how it looks. Therefore we send within 1 hour from purchase information about VAT tax payable at the delivery, while in fact no one obligate us to do it. Buyer decided to cancel order based on the information sent. Immediate refund granted.

no idea about the item as seller canceled my order after he wanted an EXTRA 20%. his items are listed on uk ebay with their vat number shown. they should be selling INCLUDING VAT at point of sale - i.e when the customer pays via paypal etc. and NOT when they are about to dispatch the goods - thus holding you to ransom. at best this is "sharp practice" but feels more like a con merchant. only saving grace is that i have found the same item elsewhere cheaper, and am in no rush to receive it.

Another buyer who is unaware of the current regulations and blames sellers for something beyond their control. Our VAT registration in the UK has nothing to do with how VAT is accounted for in the UK in transactions between a UK buyer and an EU seller. We ship goods from the EU territory, therefore for goods over £135, the buyer pays VAT upon delivery -> ebay.co.uk/help/buying/paying-items/paying-tax-ebay-purchases.html?id=4771

I purchased the item. The seller asked me to pay extra to clear customs which I paid via PayPal. It took them a week to dispatch the item. After lots of complaints I got a refund from eBay and PayPal as the item has never left Poland and after a month they still would not help. They kept refusing to refund saying it’s on its way but it never arrived

Customs fees were collected in advance when placing the order to expedite export customs clearance in the EU and import customs clearance in the UK. Unfortunately, the shipment was lost by the Parcel Force. Initially, the courier initiated a search for the shipment, which lasted about 10 days. The shipment was not found, and we were ready to issue a full refund for the goods and customs duties. However, the involvement of eBay/PayPal further prolonged the refund process and was unnecessary.

Excellent customer service following my request to cancel the order (cancelled due to a mistake on my behalf).
Full refund given without hesitation, I was informed this would happen right away and considering I placed the order late evening on a Friday, the refund was confirmed on my account by 11am UK time Monday morning.
This was a full refund including the additional taxes paid separately after the initial payment through eBay.
100% would buy from here again and would highly recommend them!
